Tim hortons soups are too salty and their sandwhiches have too much mayo![xx(] coffee is better then starbucks, mind you ,I don't care for strong coffee, as I am a tea drinker like Sid![Smiley]

their soups come straight out of campbells cans lol  I never get mayo on my timmy's sandwiches, always that dijon honey crap.  Mickey D's sandwiches are loaded with mayo.  The coffee at timmy's is always good, i love double doubles

This is a little off topic but I was at a new bar (for me) last night and I noticed the waitress kept giving out change in smaller denominations than was necessary.

So, with a drink that came to $7.75, instead of the expected twoonie and a quarter she'd give the change all in quarters or a loonie and five quarters.

I could only assume it was to encourage people to give her more than a quarter tip but I always tip well and I found it rather insulting. Others in my group noticed the same practice and expressed similar sentiments.

did you ever think perhaps she was running out of twoonies! I have worked as a cashier before and when people all pay in the same denominations you soon run out of certain bills or change![Wink]Hence you have to give unusual change back!

She carried her float with her and she had plenty of change. Instead of giving back $5 bills she would also give back loonies and twoonies. I'm convinced it was because she believed it would work to her advantage in terms of tips but it made me feel considerably less generous.

But her ass sure looked good as she wobbled around the room....

well then if you saw she had the change then I would tend to agree with you too! Nothing worse then someone practically begging for a tip![Sad!]

At any rate, it totally backfired on her. I'd have been happy to give her a twoonie but instead I just gave her a couple of quarters. My pants pockets had about 25 pounds of quarters in them by the end of the night.

Everybody thought I was happy to see them....

It was just the quarters until this girl in a denim miniskirt sat down next to me and pressed her bare leg up against mine....

I stopped watching the game at that point and started a little game between the two of us.

I won or lost, depending on how you look at it....

It seems to me that there is massive turnover at timmys.  I'm there daily, and on a weekly basis there always seem to be new staff in there

I used to hit the TH's at Seymour and Dunsmuir but it seems to always be jammed to the rafters with ESL students. Huge line-ups, all the tables taken by people studying, way too loud, it's just not worth it.

i don't think its that forn, i think we are literally being taken over by other peoples offspring. Perhaps the time has come to start making some of our own.

The other thing about Tim Horton's is that is markets itself as a down-home, small town, classic Canadian coffee shop--curling, hockey, old school prairie family values, etc.

But the outlets downtown are all run by Asians who hardly even speak English.

When you have to tell somebody three or four times that you'd like cream and sugar there's something wrong....

she wants you to fail and finds glory in taunting you ...now that is sick to me...how could anyone be that cruel?? makes me wonder...(now this thing between MM and I from the outside looks cruel, but i have NSgirl to back me up on that one)
