anybody kicking my door in during the middle of the night is enough cause for immediate concern, and action.  This person has already displayed aggression, and is a pretty clear threat.  Bang.

Use the Para-Ordnance P14-45 but you will be arrested chances are if you ever shoot somebody in your home, that's the way it is, this isn't the USA.

tasha,we hunt moose and caribou here. on the island we estimate 140,000 moose alone.it's a hunters paradise. i try and take a young animal because the meat tastes better. i see the americans come here and go for the large trophy bulls. the locals could care less about that.

Any rifle is too cumbersome for close combat. A solid 1911, such as this kimber in .45ACP should do the job just fine [8D][8D]

unfortunatelly for us canadians and our stupid laws, our firearms are to be locked up to prevent theft. What this also does is make it impossible to use your gun for self defence should your home get broken into, leaving people to resort to a good ol' baseball bat.

As for the TV theft, people who are out to steal a TV do not tote around firearms. The ones with firearms are out to rape, murder, kidnap etc.

HomoDave is right ... that sh- does happen. Reason? Most home owners will not fire first, try to use the gun to intimidate, etc. But seriously, if you're aware of a man walking uninvited and unannounced through your home, in the middle of the night, shoot first, ask questions later.

Of course, here in Canada you gotta get shot first, before it counts as self defence it seems ... soooo lame.

well some people are lame, the ones who buy guns for self defence, read the manual, and think they're ready to defend their home lol.

But for the most part, it's the laws that are lame. Basically canadian laws are such that they don't allow your guns to be used for self defense at home.

Agreed as to both. Unless you're a Canadian cop and you waste someone, in which the result is "We have thoroughly investigated ourselves and cleared ourselves of any wrongdoing."

If you want to shoot people please just move to the states where it is your god given right to kill others and have as many guns as you can afford!  Here in Canada,most of us prefer a gun law! Less guns less gun deaths. God knows if I had owned a gun all my life I am sure as f*** I would have shot some asshole by now![Cheesy] Not owning a gun affords me the time to cool off after a heated moment and relise it was realy not that big of deal![Wink]
the chances of someone breaking into your house while you are actually in it are very slim. if you are that paranoid move to a different neighbourhood, of get an alarm system or something! Before you kill some stupid kid or yourself![^]
