Mandy here is the story I told you about

I posted this before, it happened to me a few months ago, and I just realized I had saved my post so here it is, I'll break it into a few posts so it is easier to read []

oh, I have to tell you this story of what happened to me this evening
 
I went to go to get food...
 
so I went to the door and went to grab my shoe to put it on...
 
and all of the sudden something jumped!
 
really fast! super fast!
 
i dropped the shoe and jumped back going, what the heck??
 
I saw it, but it moves so fast, I had no clue what it was!
 
so I yelled for my roomate to come quick...

so he gets there, and I tell him I saw something, it looked like a super fast bug or something, but it was huge, like 4 inches long
 
so I start to carefully move the shoes, there are like 4 pairs in a pile
 
all of the sudden it jumps and goes running super fast!!
 
Im like OMG what the hell...IT LOOKS LIKE A GIANT WORM... only moving 100 miles an hours!!
 
so all of the sudden it blitzes right off the carpet into the kitchen onto the slippery floor....
 
where it slows right down... its slipping like crazy, can hardly get moving....
 
I look close now and Im like CUTE!!!!
 
it's a little lizard!!
 
cute little buggy eyes...

so I tell my roommate to keep the darn cat out of the room
 
while I look for something to catch it
 
I get a paper bag and it starts to try and run away
 
but I got the bag in front of it and scooped and caught him
 
he was really cute
 
I showed him to my roomates
 
then I put him outside
 
he looked really scared
 
hope he is ok now

Oh man those ones are soo cute... fast too I had one like that for a little while but he was so quick I couldn't take him out of the cage and it was hard to get in to feed him... He was my first lizard when my son was just a baby and I didn't know well enough how to take care of him so I ended up giving him to a friend who already had a whole room full of lizards-like creatures... it was cool too cause he had a screen door on the room instead of the regular one and had the room filled with trees and sprayers and stuff... I would like to eventually get to that point with Fred but I think he's just too old now... I won't be in a house big enough by then.

Aren't those called Geckos or something like that?

I think it was some kind of Anole

I am in California so he was a wild lizard that just happened to get inside and was hiding in my shoe.... just about gave me a heart attack when I was half asleep going to put my shoe on and he jumped... I had been in 'bug' mode cuz of all the spiders that kept getting in the apartment, so seeing a fast moving unidentified critter that big out of the corner of my eye made me jump further than he did []

Those are very cute but very tiny... I had I think he was a gecko but I can't even be sure.. It was so long ago..

are you the person that called the police saying there was a 12 foot crocodile in your back yard and it turned out to be a lil lizard.
