ever have them before?
I bought some assorted nuts,my daughter wanted. I think they were like an asian flavour assortment pack. Anyway I ate a few and about 10 minute later my stomach got a small rash like spot about the size of a nickle. It was quite prickly feeling almost painful. I've never had a hive in my life before. I am wondering if it is an alergic reaction.
Can you just get a couple of hives?
I could not even imagine being covered with that kind of feeling. I took a benadryl right away.I think it helped.
I will not eat anymore of those nuts! Actually they tasted kind of stale so I am probably going to return them and complain. Maybe they are old and thats why I got a rash.
I'm lucky I don't suffer from allergies very often.Every few years I may get a bit of hay fever, but very rarely. it must suck to have bad allergies. Undecided

I don't think you would react to them just because they're old, NS.  It sounds like you had an allergic reaction but the only way to know for sure is to try it again.  The reaction would likely be a bit worse the second time around.

If I were you I'd take the nuts in to my doctor, explain what happened and ask for allergy testing.  If you have some kind of allergy it would be great to know what it is so you could avoid that food in the future.  Allergic reactions to food tend to worsen with each exposure so it would be great if you could completely avoid whatever it was that caused it.

Good luck with your investigations!  I hope your daughter is OK.

Was not an allergic reaction just a reaction stay away from that type of nut (or all nuts) as you could end up with a full blowen allergic reaction and yes there is a diffferance between the two.
